Amnesty International has been working on migration for many years. One of the organisation's roles is to advocate at the national and international levels with different States, institutions, and governance bodies to denounce the violations suffered by migrants and refugees. Amnesty International seeks to influence various European and/or national policies to ensure they are inline with human rights. Secondly, the organisation collaborates with several platforms that provide assistance to migrants, refugees and seekers as well as beneficiaries of international protection. As Amnesty International does not work directly on the ground with the affected population, it disseminates information to competent organisations based on the individual needs of each person.Thirdly, the organisation conducts public awareness and information campaigns on migration in general and the rights of migrants and refugees.
